An iPhone running iOS 17 or newer, a Mac running macOS 15.6 or newer, the Maccess iPhone app, free Maccess Helper on the Mac, and Maccess Pro or Max. On the Mac, allow the Screen Recording permission that Maccess Helper asks for in System Settings — macOS requires it before any app can share the display.

1. Install Maccess Helper on the Mac and pair it with the Maccess app using the QR code (setup steps). 2. Allow Screen Recording for Maccess Helper when macOS asks. 3. Open your paired Mac in Maccess and tap Mirror & Control. 4. Turn on Touch Control to tap and drag on the Mac screen itself. Tap Stop Mirroring when you are done.

Touch Control starts off, so the screen can be watched without accidental clicks. Switch it on to control the Mac directly: • Tap to click. • Drag one finger to scroll. • Hold for a right-click. • Hold, then drag, to move windows and files. • Pinch to zoom the picture on your iPhone for small text. Open the keyboard to type into whichever Mac app is active.

In portrait, the mirrored screen sits above the trackpad, and you can watch several displays at once — all of them stacked, or the ones you pick. Turn the iPhone to landscape for a full-screen view of one display at a time.

Choose where the Mac's audio plays while you mirror: on your iPhone, on the Mac, or muted. Mute is the default and also silences the Mac.

On the same Wi-Fi, Mirror & Control connects directly. Away from home, Maccess Pro's Online Access streams the screen over an encrypted peer-to-peer connection, falling back to a relay when a direct path is not available. The Mac needs to be awake and running Maccess Helper.

Use Mirror & Control when you are away from the Mac and need to see what is on screen. When you can already see the Mac — on a desk or a TV — the free iPhone trackpad is lighter and faster.
